Snow Fun

THE SNOWIEST PLACE IN GERMANY

Be it racy alpine skiing or snowboarding, persistent cross-country skiing or ski touring, family-friendly tobogganing or snow hiking, spectacular snow kiting or paragliding, highly concentrated at biathlon and ice climbing – there are no limits to outdoor winter fun.

Reit im Winkl is the place with the most snow in Germany and is surrounded by more than 150km of cross-country skiing trails and 50km of alpine skiing with its skiing areas Winkelmoosalm and Steinplatte. Additionally, the renowned alpine resorts Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser, Kitzbüheler Alpen and the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm that all together offer more than 1000km of ski slopes are just 30-45 minutes away.

So every day of your holiday day can be so different – not one day like the other: One morning straight on the cross-country ski run in front of the house or biking up to the Winkelmoosalm. Tandem paragliding on the Unterberg or first snowkiting experiences in the Almwelt Lofer. Biathlon training in the famous Chiemgau Arena Ruhpolding or boldly pacing down the famous Hahnenkamm run. In the evening take another round of skating under floodlights in the center of Reit im Winkl. Maximum outdoor variety for the day and later end it comfy with friends in the evening – in the wellness area, in the alpine cinema or snuggled up with a view of the setting sun behind the Kaiser Mountains.
